"I decided I could not miss this even though it was a 3 hr drive. I made the trip in 2.5 hrs just in time to watch her do the sound check & chat for a few. I didn't get a chance though to say glad she was back & that she was missed, but I think she knew."

"After the sound check she came down to me and I told her that I had all her albums and she replied 'Then like me you must be old as dirt.' I told her I'll be 50 the following week and she replied 'Yep. You're as old as dirt.'"

Rob asked if Carlene felt her age & she replied "Oh, yeah." One of his daughters wanted him to ask her about "Walk The Line," & she said it was excellent & gave it "two thumbs up." She signed Rob's "Little Acts Of Treason" CD & said it was her favorite.

Later onstage Carlene said it was too hot with the lights, so Rob suggested that she take off her coat. "Okay I'm taking off just the coat," she replied. "Don't want a Janet Jackson costume malfunction." She performed her new song "Stronger" on keyboards.
